State Route 4 South reopens in Dayton after semi overturns near I-75

State Route 4 has reopened in Dayton after a tractor-trailer overturned Wednesday morning.

Around 9:36 a.m., a driver of a tractor-trailer lost control the the vehicle while approaching Interstate 75 and hit a second tractor-trailer, according to a crash report filed by the Dayton Police Department.

The impact from the crash pushed the second semi sideways into the concrete barrier. The first semi then overturned onto its driver’s side.

No injuries were reported, but the crash closed state Route 4 from Huffman Dam Road to I-75 for the rest of the morning.

All lanes had reopened as of 1:30 p.m.
